Christian DiPalermo
Principal
Christian is Principal and Founder of CDD Strategies, a government affairs and strategic planning firm specializing in energy, transportation, and recreational land use. He has advised Fortune 500 companies and nonprofit clients alike on government and community affairs in pursuance of permits, procurement, and legislation, and represents them before the executive and legislative branches of New York City, State and Local government. Specific projects he has worked on include the construction of natural gas pipelines, affordable housing developments, and mixed-use commercial and residential real estate projects.
Prior to the launch of CDD Strategies in 2014, Christian served as a vice president at TLM Associates, LLC., a government affairs and strategic planning firm in Manhattan; executive director of New Yorkers for Parks, a non-profit organization that advocates for public open spaces in New York City; and regional vice president for external affairs at SBC Telecom. His passion for government affairs was sparked more than 25 years ago when he served as a legislative aide in the New York State Legislature and as district representative for Congresswoman Nita Lowey in Westchester County.
At the root of Christian’s experience is a keen understanding of the intersection of politics, policy, and law. He has successfully utilized this 3-pronged approach to provide a “one-stop-shop” to handle all aspects of his clients’ needs. As a Founding Partner of the law firm of Marks DiPalermo Wilson PLLC, Christian specializes in municipal and real estate law, representing several municipalities on issues including land use, economic development, infrastructure, and legislation. While CDD Strategies is often the first stop for our ability to navigate the waters and tell it like it is, clients often realize that they require additional assistance as a project moves forward. If that means pre-development activities like zoning analysis, feasibility studies, market analysis, architecture, land use, and policy experience to get the most out one’s property assets, they can turn to the Siwanoy Group, LLC, a real-estate advisory firm that Christian also co-founded. And when the legal arm is needed to represent developers, homeowners, landlords, and tenants or to advise on real estate developments, policy and legislation, they have the expertise of Marks DiPalermo Wilson.
Today, Christian’s acute understanding of the political landscape throughout the New York City, the Lower Hudson Valley, and Long Island, paired with his legal experience, informs the guidance and advocacy he provides to clients.
